Your Opinion About Catholic Education is Extremely Important!
Often, when families are faced with decisions that affect all of their members, dinner table discussions take place in order that each member of the family can weigh in on the issue at hand before a final decision is made. Some matters are relatively minor requiring little conversation, while others are critical and crucial and require much thoughtful and respectful discussion before the family can proceed.
In the family of faith, which is the Archdiocese of Chicago, a critical and crucial issue that needs to be addressed is the future of Catholic education which, while immensely important in passing on the faith to our children and grandchildren, has become increasingly burdened by aging infrastructure, rising costs and the secularization of society. Cardinal George is faced with major decisions regarding the financial health and vitality of Catholic education, including our schools, parish-based religious education programs and Mundelein Seminary.
The Cardinal is engaged in a process to understand how the educational priorities within the Archdiocese may be addressed, and he would like the input of the family of faith that will be affected by the decisions that he will make.
If you follow this link to the ONLINE SURVEY you will be able to view the Case Statement for the Proposed Catholic Education Campaign and give us your input on several issues by taking a brief and anonymous online survey, the results of which will be important and valued. This online survey will only be available until December 18.
As always, we are grateful to you for your participation and support of the Archdiocese of Chicago.
