Be men of courage; be strong
As many are aware, there are three over-lapping facets to Catholics Come Home Chicago: Invitation, Welcoming and Accompaniment. On March 20, 2010, the Office for Evangelization is holding a Catholic Men’s Conference, an ideal “accompaniment” for men! This Conference will feature notable speakers in two identical tracks: one in English and the other in Spanish! Participants will come together for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, private and communal prayer, and Mass celebrated by His Eminence Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I. We believe direct follow-up is necessary for the continued success of the Catholics Come Home Chicago evangelization initiative, and this Conference is that follow-up!
If you have never been to an event such as this, don’t worry, you are not alone. We are just ordinary guys just like you who want to learn more about the meaning of life and the Catholic faith. We have been brought together by the Holy Spirit to reach out to all of God’s men; Catholic and Non-Catholic, and anyone else looking to deepen his faith.
This is about ordinary men helping ordinary men and realizing that it's good to talk about God and our Catholic Faith. We are not worried about the "cool" factor. This conference is about reaching men with questions about their church and about spirituality. This conference is about reconciling differences and leaning on the shoulders of others. This conference is about affirming God’s love for us and re-establishing the commitment we have for each other. This Conference is about learning that the Holy Spirit really can make a difference in our life.
