Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Chicago were established in 1837. Last year Catholic Cemeteries handled over 17,500 interments in its forty-seven cemeteries in Cook and Lake counties.

Catholic Cemeteries maintain in excess of 2,400,000 gravesites and 27 mausoleum structures with 128,139 crypts and niches, and employ over 300 full-time employees. There are more than 3,000 acres in use for cemetery purposes, containing over one hundred miles of roads.

Catholic Cemeteries provide a pre-need counseling program and interment choices and services that reflect the traditions of its ethnically diverse population.
