The Coordinator of Youth Ministry will coordinate the work of youth ministry in one of the vicariates (IV) and some specific areas of Youth Ministry for the entire Archdiocese; Convenes and attends cluster, deanery, and vicariate meetings to advocate with pastors, deans and vicars for the implementation of Archdioceasn catechetical and youth ministry policies and mission; Promote inclusion and participation of people of various cultures and languages in all programs and events; Assists vicariate parishes in the recruitment, hiring, evaluation, retention and development of parish youth ministers, and in building viable and active youth ministry programs; Gives workshops, researches materials and other resources appropriate for youth ministry, writes articles for the newletter and the website; Fulfills other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry;
Must be a practicing Catholic and active member of a parish community; Must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Education or related field with courses in Theology and Youth Ministry or the equivalent education; 3 years' experience teaching, organizing and administration in Youth Ministry/Catechesis or in youth organizations; Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication, and relational skills; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Power Point; Must have cultural awareness and sensitivity; Capable of self-management and multitasking; Must be available for evening and weekend work; Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle for local transportation;
