Requirements: J.D. Must be licensed to practice in the State of Illinois. Newly admitted to 3 years experience. Should have some legal work experience. Ability to work with supervisors. Good oral and written communications. Good organization. Ability to work in multiple practice areas and local courts. Ability to work on multiple tasks. Ability and willingness to learn. Mid-level knowledge of Microsoft Office. Valid Driver’s License.
Description: Assist Counsel in providing legal representation and services for the Archdiocese of Chicago, Its Departments, Agencies, Parishes and Schools in multiple practice areas. Drafts real estate leases, facilities use agreements and amendments, and default notices. Assist with and handles litigation and administrative hearing matters as assigned. Conducts research and drafts memoranda on legal issues. Conducts investigative inquiries. Responds to inquiries. Performs other duties as assigned. Interacts with Archdiocesan staff and others in the performance of the above responsibilities.
