Description:

Duties and Responsibilities Answers inbound calls while on duty. Refers to weekly event calendar for new events and any changes. Receives visitors and meetings attendees at parish office while on duty. Refers and directs visitors and callers to scheduled meetings or events. Answers questions about scheduled events and refers questions to staff. Assists staff and volunteers with mailings and campus material distributions and other assigned office tasks. Monitors building and meeting room key pick up and return. Checks and secures scheduled meeting rooms are vacated at scheduled time and notes condition for next day maintenance. Ensures the church campus main entries are secured at end of duty shift. Monitors security system as installed and confirms reliable daily operation. Contacts the appropriate staff for any maintenance, security or visitor issues or concerns. 2 positions available. Part time evenings and weekend hours.

Requirements:

Education Required: High school Education Preferred: Some college Experience Required: 1 year public contact employment or equivalent experience Experience preferred: 1 year experience with front of house contact with public and soft security. Experience with security systems monitoring. Current Illinois PERC card and Illinois basic 20 hour security course completion. Office, Institution or School security and hospitality with front office public contact work environment. Skills Required: All standard office software including MS 2010 and Excel and Web based applications. Ability to learn and use phone system and call director. Ability to learn and use postage meter operation, copier operation and other office equipment. Ability to learn and use monitoring station operation of installed security system. Personal Traits: Personable, Reliable, with Consistent demeanor. Professional bearing and neat business-like personal appearance Physical Activity: Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing, carrying and keyboarding. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Other Required: Must demonstrate understanding, respect and support for Catholic Church teaching, mission and values.
