Description:
Maintain the Parish Data System (PDS) and provide data entry; maintain family files; assist in religious education preparation and outreach; coordinate the Confirmation Program and post-Confirmation activities; coordinate Jovenes en Accion youth program.
Participation and training in ISKALI youth leadership program. Promote participation in the youth ministry through multiple channels: Jovenes en Accion meetings; Confirmation classes and religious education program; St. Pius V Parish bulletin; outreach to current and past confirmation participants; etc.
Coordinate the Confirmation program of St. Pius V Parish for up to 80 students. Oversee the Confirmation page on St. Pius V’s website and Confirmation Facebook page. Weekly one-on-one meetings with the Director of Religious Education for planning, implementation and ongoing evaluation. Participation in St. Pius V staff meetings. Be present at parish activities.
Requirements:
St. Pius V pPrish in the Pilsen neighborhood is home to dynamic faith formation. Currently we seek an active practicing catholic to serve as our Assistant Director of Religious Education. Bilingual and bicultural; theological background; demonstrated faith commitment; experience working with youth and planning age-appropriate activities. Attend training and ongoing formation; CPR/First Aid Certified;
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite
Background check completed.
