Description:

St Giles is a vibrant parish serving over 2,000 households in north Oak Park and the Galewood neighborhood of Chicago. We are seeking a dynamic, pastoral individual as a Director of Religious Education to coordinate, develop and organize our versatile formation programs for both students in K-8. These programs currently include Traditional Religious Education, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Pre-School Religious Education Program, SPRED, as well as sacramental preparation programs such as First Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. As a member of the Parish Pastoral Leadership Team, the Director will promote, embrace and live our parish mission: Welcoming, Worshiping, and Walking the Way, and work collaboratively with other Leadership Team members to support and implement the vision of the Parish Strategic Plan. Requirements:

A Masters Degree in Religious Education, Pastoral Studies, Theology or Divinity is preferred, but a Bachelors Degree in one of these areas is required, in addition to certification, or working toward certification, as a Director of Religious Education by the Archdiocese of Chicago. Leadership experience, especially with respect to energizing volunteers, is desired.
