Description:

Providing Comprehensive Youth Ministry & Faith Formation Programs in Collaboration with Director of Youth Ministry – Assist in planning, coordinating and executing all programs for junior high, high school age students with an emphasis on grades 6-9. This would include social, spiritual, and service components. Recruiting and Managing Adult Teachers and Youth Volunteers- including Catechists for Confirmation, and adult chaperons for social and service events, retreats and mission trips. Preparing Students for Confirmation- Partners with Liturgy Team to coordinate, prepare, and celebrate Confirmation masses for approximately 115 youth every fall. Oversees monthly Confirmation sessions. Administrative duties include record keeping and data input. Faith Formation of Youth and their Parents- Assist Director in collaboration with Pastoral Staff to provide strong religious education program and service opportunities for Youth and their families. Encourages and Facilitates youth to be trained to become Extraordinary Ministers, lectors, and ushers, as well as encourage their participation in choirs. Establishing and Maintaining Strong Communication Networks- effectively communicates and works closely with youth, day school staff, parish pastoral council, and most importantly parents, to provide transformative and faith-filled programs for our youth. Working knowledge of social media platforms. Overseeing, Managing, and Executing Budgets, Recordkeeping and Enrollment- knowledge of Parish Data Systems and Microsoft Office is a plus.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: A practicing Catholic on fire with love for the Lord, fully engaged in parish life; Bachelor’s Degree in Theology or Youth Ministry; Current Archdiocesan youth ministry certification or willingness to pursue certification; Faith-filled and grounded in Scripture and Tradition; Proven ability to relate to youth and create programs that engage and IGNITE teens; An active listener with who has a great sense of humor combined with vision, compassion, gratitude and patience. A team player with strong communication skills who works collaboratively with Parish Faith Formation Team and others; Confident abilities with Microsoft Office, social media, Parish Data Systems, email communications.
