Description:
Prepares budget, annual report, interim reports, general ledgers and other reports as required. Handles banking operations including management of accounts and problem solving. Manages bookkeeping functions including, but not limited to, payables, receivables, bank reconciliations and all other parish, school and program revenue and expenses
Is staff liaison to Parish Finance Council. Facilitates fundraising events and participates in major parish events and activities. Ensures proper procedure and processing for cash collections.
Oversees the management of parish operational and financial records.
Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor, oversee special audits conducted by grantor. Reports monthly or quarterly for grants assigned to programs for reimbursement. Manages spending according to approved budget.
Is staff liaison to Human Resources.
Process payroll for Parish, School, and programs ensure all salaries and benefits are accurate. Maintain employee files according to Archdiocese guidelines
Implements personnel policies: develops hiring and termination procedures, job descriptions, personnel evaluations and open enrollment Oversees implementation of the guidelines and policies of volunteers. Manage eApps database to manage employee and volunteer background checks. Oversees information technology and security. Attends meetings relative to the role, as necessary such as parish staff, vicariate and Archdiocesan meetings. Interacts with school principal on administrative and financial matters, as necessary.
Manages major repairs, renovations and capital projects in accordance with Archdiocesan policies. Acts as liaison to Archdiocesan administrative agencies
Acts as chairperson to Building committee.
Requirements:
Understands and supports mission and purpose of the parish. Is knowledgeable of the principles of accounting and of personnel issues, including policies, procedures, selection of benefits, federal and state laws, employee motivation, team building, etc.
Undergraduate degree in business or related field required. Five years experience in business and/or church.
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and organizational skills, ability to present oneself professionally and ability to maintain confidentiality.
