    The Harvest is Abundant: Go!

    Passing on the faith from one person to another and from one generation to the next is the core of our vision as the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry. We know that our call to evangelize and make disciples of Christ is important. We are given the task of handling the catechetical formation to catechize children, teenagers and adults. It is no small feat and one that we in the Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry take great pride in doing throughout the Archdiocese.

    Believing our faith, proclaiming the Gospel

    Each year in the Archdiocese hundreds of catechetical leaders gather for two days at the Chicago Catechetical Conference to enrich their faith lives and recommit to passing on the faith to others. Those who attend learn new techniques to teach religious education or deepen their understanding of a lived faith. Or they might come away with a renewed sense of their call to spread the Gospel around them.
