Nightfever Chicago at Holy Name Cathedral

Holy Name Cathedral, State and Superior Streets in Chicago, invites Chicago Catholics to attend Nightfever, beginning with a mass celebrated by Fr. Matthew O'Donnell, pastor of St. Columbanus parish in Chicago, at 7:30 p.m.  Nightfever will begin at 9 p.m. following the mass. There will be adoration, reconciliation, music and silence. Kolbe House Jail Ministry Mass

SUNDAY, October 2

Kolbe House, the Jail Ministry for the Archdiocese, invites you to a Spanish/English Mass at 3 pm Sunday, October 2nd, at Assumption Parish, 2434 S California, Chicago.  At this Mass, we would especially like anyone who is personally affected by incarceration, a victim of crime, or anyone who wants to be part of our ministry through prayer to attend.  If you are an ex-offender or have a loved one in jail or prison, please come.  If you need more information, please call Deacon Pablo or Gloria at Kolbe House: 773-247-0070 or email Pablo at pperez@kolbehouseministry.org.

Catholic Conference of Illinois - Election 2016

The general election on November 8 offers Illinois residents the opportunity to vote for candidates for U.S. president, Congress, and the state legislature. The Catholic Church is nonpartisan, and does not endorse candidates nor tell parishioners which candidates they should elect. The Church does offer guidance for discernment as parishioners make their decisions on how to vote with a properly formed conscience.

Lifelong Faith Formation Classes

Lifelong Faith Formation classes are now available through the Archdiocese Office for Catechesis and Youth Ministry. These classes, which include a program for training catechists, extend the opportunity to be a part of the formation of the next generation of Chicago Catholics to every member of the Archdiocese.  Whether you want to take a full course of study toward certification as a catechist, or simply participate in select classes to enrich your faith, these classes from the Archdiocese are an exciting new resource. All classes are online, so they fit into your everyday schedule, and affordable as some courses are available for only $14. You can complete the classes at your own pace and in your home.
