Palm Sunday

Thank you for joining my network. I look forward to sharing a few reflections on God’s life within us from day to day. This day is Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week. The Pope is celebrating it in Rome with young people, reminding them that, “We have placed our hope in the living God.”

From day to day, I sometimes go on my distracted way without focusing my personal attention on the living God. I pay little attention to what he might want, yet what God basically wants is that we live with him now and forever. This week God accepts the death of his Son, Jesus, so that we might have life to the full.

All of us experience sickness and death among our friends and in our families. Confronting a friend or a parent’s death is a kind of rehearsal for ours. Where do we find life in these tragedies? Jesus invites us to find life with him, by going with him through his death this week to new life at Easter. We’ll go through it in prayer. Together with Christ and with each other, we’ll find our hope in the living God. God bless you.
