Vacation Time
I believe it’s a mistake to fill vacation time with activities and distractions. They don’t provide a real alternative to work. Vacation is leisure time, unstructured, not programmed, without a particular goal. When we’re not in charge and not directing our time, surprise is possible. Sometimes God is able to break into our lives. Prayer is time turned over to God, and leisure gives us the chance to make that surrender.
