Fr. William Woestman Honored by Canon Law Society of America

Fr. William Woestman, O.M.I., Associate Vicar for Canonical Services, received the Role of Law Award from the Canon Law Society of America (CLSA), a professional society of 1,800 canon lawyers.
Each year, the CLSA Board of Governors presents this award to a canonist who embodies a pastoral attitude toward the application of the law, is committed to study and research, participates in the development of law, responds to needs with practical assistance, and facilitates dialog and the interchange of ideas both within the CLSA and with other groups.Previous Chicagoans who have received this award include Bishop Raymond Goedert and Fr. John Dolciamore.

Fr. Woestman’s most recent book, the third edition of Sacraments: Initiation, Penance, Anointing of the Sick, has just been published.
