FAITH CHALLENGES IN THE WORKPLACE
How Should Catholics Respond?

Chicago, IL (October 18, 2006)—At 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 22, teacher, author and 20-year priest Fr. Robert Barron will lead the first of two talks on workplace issues that challenge people’s faith titled Unleashing the Power of the Church: The Catholic Difference, at St. Michael’s Church, 14327 Highland Avenue, Orland Park.

“The underlying premise of these talks is that the time has come for us to practice our moral and spiritual values each workday,” says Fr. Barron, host of the Relevant Radio program Word on Fire.

The second talk, The Role of the Laity in the Transformation of Society, will also be given at St. Michael’s in Orland Park at 7 p.m. on Sunday, November 19. Both of these MISSION CHICAGO events are co-sponsored by the surrounding Orland Park and Orland Hills parishes that include: St. Elizabeth Seton, Our Lady of the Woods and St. Francis of Assissi.

In January, Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago, deemed 2006 The Year of Evangelization and launched MISSION CHICAGO, a series of events, missions and opportunities to expand and renew faith and encourage evangelization efforts across the Archdiocese.
