Featuring Author and Catholic Apologist Jason Evert

Chicago, IL (September 25, 2007) - At 5 p.m., Sunday, September 30, Jason Evert will speak on the virtue of chastity while headlining the Life Night III Youth Rally at Our Lady of the Wayside Parish, 434 W. Park St., Arlington Heights. The 29-year old Evert, a graduate of Franciscan University in Steubenville, OH, is the author of numerous books that challenge young people to embrace the virtue of chastity.

"Jason's understanding of current teen culture is apparent through the humor and hard stories he shares,” said Mary-Louise Kurey, Director of the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Respect Life Office. “His message speaks to the freedom a chaste life-style brings while resonating with students from every socio-economic background,” Kurey continued. Evert is also an apologist for Catholic Answers, which airs nationally on the EWTN network and at

Catholic worship leader Rob Kaczmark, who hosts and directs SPiRiT jUiCE, the Catholic music program that can be found at, will join Evert at the rally. There is no charge to attend the event, which is open to the public and is co-sponsored by the Archdiocese’s Chastity Education Initiative and Office of Catechesis and Youth Ministry.

Evert will also lead four additional sessions at the following times, days and parishes:

• 7 p.m., Monday, October 1, St. Francis of Assisi Parish, 15050 S. Wolf Rd., Orland Park

• 7 p.m., Tuesday, October 2, Holy Family Parish, 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan

• 7 p.m., Wednesday October 3, St. Pascal Parish, 3935 N. Melvina Ave., Chicago

• 7 p.m., Thursday, October 4, St. Norbert Parish, 1809 Walters Ave., Northbrook
