Do you want to get the Catholic spin on political issues that affect the faith community? Bob Gilligan is the Executive Director of the Catholic Conference of Illinois, a group that lobbies on behalf of all dioceses in the state. Bob is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Conference’s public policy and legislative agenda at the State Capitol in Springfield.  On the third Monday of every month, Bob hosts a call-in program from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Relevant Radio 950-AM. Bob and his guests give expert analysis on how proposed laws relate to the principles of Catholic social teaching. The Catholic Conference Hour touches on a broad range of public policy issues seeking to protect life, provide a voice for the poor and marginalized, promote the family unit, and call for sound stewardship of the earth and natural resources.  Listeners are invited to call 312-255-8408 and join the conversation.
