A Call to Prayer

A Call to Prayer is not intended to provide counseling services. If you are feeling that you may want to hurt yourself, you should immediately call 911 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-8255. If you need other emotional or psychological help, please call the National Alliance on Mental Illness Helpline at 1-800-950-6264. A Call to Prayer is intended for use by individuals who are age 18 years and older. Our volunteer prayer partners endeavor to pray with minors only if they are accompanied on the phone with a parent or legal guardian. Our volunteer prayer partners endeavor to keep your identity and any information you share confidential; however, we reserve the right to share any information we learn, including but not limited to your name and phone number, to third parties at our discretion. By contacting A Call to Prayer, you agree to assume all risks from participating in A Call to Prayer, including all risks resulting from the actions taken or not taken by you, our volunteers, or a third party, during, after, or as a result of your use of this prayer service, and for any unavailability of A Call to Prayer, and you hereby agree to release, indemnify, defend and hold harmless The Catholic Bishop of Chicago, its affiliates and all of their clergy, officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from and against all claims or damages connected to or arising from your participation in A Call to Prayer. In no event shall any party incur liability for consequential, special, exemplary, incidental or indirect damages of any kind arising from the use of A Call to Prayer. We reserve the right to change these Terms of Use at any time. A Call to Prayer is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis without warranties of availability of any kind. We reserve the right to end a phone call at any time and for any reason. You agree that all matters relating to your use of A Call to Prayer, including all disputes, will be governed by the laws of the State of Illinois without regard to its conflicts of laws provisions. You agree to the personal jurisdiction by and venue in the state and federal courts in Cook County, Illinois, and waive any objection to such jurisdiction or venue.
