Archdiocese of Chicago to Host Ninth Annual Fore the Kids Golf Outing Benefitting the Archdiocese’s Catholic Schools

Event to be held on Monday, June 25, 11:30 a.m. at the Chicago Highlands Golf Club in Westchester, Illinois

Chicago, IL (June 20, 2018) – The Archdiocese of Chicago will host its ninth annual Fore the Kids golf outing on Monday, June 25 at the Chicago Highlands Golf Club in Westchester, Illinois at 11:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the emergency tuition assistance fund and academic innovation initiatives in the Archdiocese’s more than 200 Catholic schools. Fore the Kids has raised more than $100,000 annually.

Fore the Kids supports emergency tuition scholarships for families who experience unforeseen hardships and need financial assistance for their children’s education,” said Dr. Jim Rigg, Superintendent of Catholic Schools. “We are sensitive to the hardships families face and know that any amount of aid can help these families. I am amazed at the generous support of our donors through Fore the Kids. They are truly making a positive difference!”

In addition to benefitting emergency tuition assistance, the golf outing also supports academic innovation initiatives in Catholic schools, including classroom technology, teacher coaching, dual language immersion and resources for students with specialized learning needs.

This year, major sponsors of Fore the Kids include: The Bernard Beazley Trust; Catholic Cemeteries of the Archdiocese of Chicago; Jim and Molly Perry; FACTS Tuition Management; Celtic Environmental; and MorganFranklin Consulting.

While golfer reservations are sold out, donations are still being accepted, and sponsorship opportunities are still available. For more information, visit archchicago.org/forethekids or call 312.534.7614.
