Mission

The Office of Media Relations acts as the liaison between the Archbishop and the media and as a resource for information about the mission of the Church and the ministries of the Archdiocese’s agencies and departments.

The Office of Media Relations prepares and distributes statements, press releases and media advisories, responds to queries from the media and the general public, maintains the Archdiocesan web site, assists in managing both crisis internal communications and provides parish communications consulting.

Mission

New World Publications, through its newspapers; Chicago Catholic (English language) and Catolico (Spanish language), proclaims the Good News as it supports the Archbishop of Chicago in his role as leader, teacher and evangelizer. Through these publications, the mission of evangelization is advanced and the larger Church is served with news, information, reflection and teaching.

Mission

The Office of Radio and Television uses radio, television, the Internet and related media to support the Church’s mission of evangelization. The radio-TV office maximizes its multi-media capabilities to educate, inform and entertain its audiences. It works with other Catholic agencies, departments and organizations to report and promote Catholic-based activities throughout the Chicago area.
