Chicago (Feb. 5, 2021) – Rev. Phillip C. Kiley, former associate pastor of St. George Parish on Ewing Avenue, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, at the age of 75.

Due to the pandemic, his family chose to postpone the funeral services. The funeral Mass will take place at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 2, 2021, at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 9711 W. Devon Avenue in Rosemont. Rev. John Clemens will be the main celebrant and homilist. Interment will be private.

Kiley was born on April 18, 1945, in Berwyn. He attended Quigley Preparatory Seminary in Chicago, Niles College in Niles and the University of St. Mary of the Lake/Mundelein Seminary in Mundelein.

Kiley was ordained to the priesthood on May 10, 1978, by Cardinal John Cody, and celebrated his first solemn Mass on May 14 of the same year at St. Bernard Parish in Chicago.

After ordination, Kiley served as associate pastor at the following Chicago parishes: All Saints Parish on South State Street, Holy Angels Parish on Oakwood Boulevard, St. Charles Lwanga Parish on Garfield Boulevard, Resurrection Parish on Nelson Street, St. Francis de Sales Parish on Ewing Avenue and St. George Parish, also on Ewing Avenue.
