Religious leaders, Youth and Gage Park Community Members Organize a March for Peace

Young adults and youth from St. Gall Parish in Chicago’s Gage Park community will hold a march for peace in response to the violence that persists on the streets of Gage Park. Members of St. Gall's Pastoral Juvenile or Warriors of Peace, will lead the march to raise their voices and reclaim their neighborhood. Participants will gather at St. Clare of Montefalco Parish, 2640 W. 55th St., at 10 a.m. The march will begin at 11 a.m. and end at St. Gall Parish, located on 5511 S. Sawyer in Chicago.

Life and Justice Conference

The Life and Justice Conference is an annual gathering for Catholic social ministers and justice advocates in the archdiocese, promoting a spirit of collaboration in service of human life and dignity that equips participants with tools and resources to strengthen their ministries. Sister Helen Prejean, known around the world for her tireless work against the death penalty, will be the keynote speaker of the conference.

Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass

Cardinal Blase J. Cupich will be the main celebrant at the annual Golden Wedding Anniversary Mass, where hundreds of couples married in 1968 will be honored at Holy Name Cathedral, State and Superior Streets in Chicago.

Second Asian Community Mass

The Archdiocese of Chicago will host the first Asian Community Mass in honor of Mary, the Mother of Cultures at St. Celestine Church, 3020 North 76th Court in Elmwood Park. Attendees will wear ethnic attire and bring Virgin Mary images, banners and flowers for the procession and Mass. Cardinal Blase J. Cupich will be the main celebrant.
