Notice of Decree of the Relegation of a Church to Use Other Than Divine Worship

In September 2019, a proposal to relegate Queen of Apostles Church, in Riverdale, was presented to the Presbyteral Council of the Archdiocese of Chicago and discussed at a regular meeting of the Council on September 10, 2019. After considering the matter, the Council gave its opinions to the Cardinal, and on September 13, 2019, Cardinal Cupich issued a decree to the following effect:
• Queen of Apostles Church of Holy Ghost and SS. Mary and Jude Parish, located at 207 West 145th Street, is to be relegated for uses other than divine worship. For the full decree, click here.
