Requirements: Applicants should possess a degree in religious education, Pastoral Studies, theology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and demonstrate commitment to the spirit and vision of Vatican II along with a familiarity and desire to present catechesis and faith formation with a focus on whole-family involvement. The ideal candidate has experience at a larger parish and with youth ministry and possesses an enthusiastic, creative, collaborative, and flexible approach placing parishioners first.
Description: Responsible to develop, plan, and coordinate catechetical instruction and Confirmation preparation for high school students, sacramental celebration of Confirmation, Kairos and Spiritus retreats, social justice outreach,summer service, preparation of Sunday teen Mass, ongoing enrichment of Peer Ministry program, new program development to engage teens and young adults beyond Confirmation, and communication and marketing of youth ministry opportunities. Ability to communicate with parents an understanding of the importance of ongoing parental involvement and support in the faith formation and faith lives of their children, recruit and train catechists and other adult volunteers, work with Children’s Faith Formation to more fully develop the middle school program, contribute to the larger faith formation efforts at St. Anne through collaboration within the Lifelong Faith Formation department as well as the Faith Formation and Education Commission, provide thought leadership and creativity in a collaborative way to continually improve, evolve, and involve more parishioners in all aspects of faith formation and faith life at St. Anne. Provide flexibility, understanding and a true Christian spirit to all members of our faith community and to the wider community.
