Description:
Our Lady of the Snows Parish is looking for a part-time Youth Ministry Coordinator (for Junior High and High School youth), about 12-15 hrs a week, to continue developing a parish based pastoral ministry with youth that includes implementing the elements outlined in the USCCB’s document, Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry.
Candidate must become personally acquainted with the youth in our group, to plan, present and evaluate sessions based on the materials provided by the Pastoral Staff, to provide an atmosphere which is conductive to the learning needs and styles of teens, to provide the youth with an opportunity to be of service to others by planning and implementing service sessions, to assist youth in the development of a prayer life, to communicate concerns, questions and suggestions to the Pastoral Staff, to assist in Religious Education Program as needed. Requirements:
Experience in Youth Ministry with a fair knowledge of liturgical ministry. Bilingual in Spanish or Polish preferred. Some college education or degree required or any certified training in ministry.
