Description:
St. Columba Parish is located on the South East side of Chicago in Hegewisch just north of Calumet City. We are seeking a part-time parish musician who will work with the Pastor and others in planning various liturgies, selecting music and accompanying/cantoring for all weekend Masses and Holy Days. Masses are at 5:00pm on Saturday, 8:00am and 10:30am on Sundays. First option will be given for funerals, weddings and other liturgical events. Position is available immediately. Please contact Rev. Requirements:
Be a practicing Catholic. A Bachelor's Degree is preferred, but above average skills at the keyboard and cantoring with experience is acceptable. The candidate should be familiar with the new Liturgical texts and Mass settings.
